A Tailored Fit

When a lot of people hear the term ‘loose cover’ they think of the brown, stretchy, polyester covers that their grandparents use to have. Fortunately the world has moved on since then.

Nowadays loose covers can be made in a wide variety of fabrics and one size does not fit all. Our loose covers are made to measure to fit the exact contours of your furniture, giving it the look of upholstery. A concealed zip is sewn into the back seam of each cover making them easy to remove and refit for washing or dry-cleaning.

A tailored loose cover (or slip cover, as they are called in the USA) can completely transform the look of the furniture allowing greater versatility perhaps by changing the colour and/or the style to suit the season of year (a set for winter and one for summer). For some people a loose cover is the only practical option if they want a white or cream coloured furniture, or in households where there are children and pets, where the covers can be laundered when necessary.

I personally love loose covers because they are so versatile and allow me to keep a good piece of furniture that I love and change the cover when it's old cover becomes tired and worn.
